I promised I'd tell you what sucks. Here's what sucks about the SouthSide Film Festival.
I'm too tired to go to more screenings that last until 11:30 tonight. I can't make it on time to the 5:00 screenings. That leaves me one block of films and I must choose between three excellent selections.
That sucks.
But Friday's coming, and since it will be the second day of summer, I will take advantage of that "summertime work hours" concept and get to a 5:00 screening! Then I'll find something very stimulating to keep me awake way past the final screening of the night, so I can go to the live music performances that start around 11:30. All the fest regulars are really stoked for them (and I guess you can read about who and where and all that on ssff.org).
I'd like to see the film festival extend to more days next year. Like over two weekends instead of Tuesday through Saturday of one week. That wouldn't suck.

If it's extended twice as many films will be added--that's how it works--so that wouldn't solve the problem--you just have to see as many as you can--festivals can be demanding![SMILE]
